About the event
Dare to descend into the shadowy depths of ambition and prophecy with CRAFT Management Charitable Trust, 16th Avenue, and MHO Endeavours as they bring to life Shakespeare’s timeless tragedy, Macbeth, at the 16th Avenue Theatre in Tauranga. From April 15th to April 22nd, witness a tale spun with dark magic, power struggles, and fateful omens, all set against the backdrop of medieval Scotland.
Our production reimagines the classic in a way that resonates with both aficionados of Shakespeare and contemporary audiences alike. Directed by Harry Oram and featuring a cast of exceptionally talented local actors led by Joseph Rehu-Hahunga as the titular character, and Loreto Rojas, his lady, this Macbeth promises a night of compelling drama, breathtaking costumes, and a stage set to transport you straight into the heart of one of literature's most dynamic narratives.
But beware, for “fair is foul, and foul is fair” in this play of paradoxes and witchcraft. As ambition drives Macbeth to his darkest corners, the audience will be left to ponder the costs of desire and the haunting effects of guilt.
Tickets are on sale now, but they're disappearing as swiftly as the apparitions that haunt the Scottish king. Secure your seat for a journey into the heart of darkness and discover whether Macbeth’s fate is written in the stars or self-inflicted by the hands of man. Visit our website or the 16th Avenue Theatre box office to purchase your tickets. Join us for an unforgettable evening of theatre that will leave you questioning: what would you do for power?
Don’t miss this enthralling production that promises not only to entertain but to ensnare your senses and shake your soul. Act now—before the final curtain falls.
